Ovington Village Hall was originally built in 1855 where it was used as a private school until 1870 and then became a Church of England primary school, until closure 1933. It is now a Village Hall.
Ovington itself is a small Breckland village located 1.5 miles north east of the Market town of Watton. It lies close to the A1075 road and is a short drive from Thetford Forest Park.
The hall is set back just off Church Road as you leave the village heading towards Dereham. Ideally positioned in front of the Church of St John a grade 2 listed building boasting a Norman door and fine Tower.
Ovington Village Hall is a registered charity [No.1038889] and day-to-day management of the hall is overseen by it’s 6 Trustees for the benefit of the local inhabitants and its surrounding neighbours.
The hall is ideally suited for a variety of public functions including parties, social events and children’s parties, the main room is suitable for a variety of events including training sessions and meetings.
A coffee morning is held every Monday morning from 10:30 to 12-noon, and there are weekly Yoga classes, and a Youth Club is held on every Last Friday of the month.
